Today we experienced our first Athletics Day at NGPS. It was so much fun! We all tried our best in all of the activities and encouraged each other. Check out all the exciting photos from today!
Last Wednesday we went on an excursion to the Royal Botanic Gardens. We went on a tour of the gardens and learnt lots of interesting facts. We also explored the Children’s Garden and we were lucky enough to be able to plant our own plants and make a special potpourri bag. We also had some free time to explore the Children’s Garden and get in touch with nature!
A few of us fell asleep on the bus ride home, including Miss Coulsell.
A BIG thank you to our parent helpers, for helping to make the day run smoothly and another big thank you to the parents who turned up for our picnic in the gardens. It was a really lovely excursion and it was wonderful to share our excitement with you.
Last Tuesday we had a sausage sizzle fundraiser for Lachlan Jorgensen. Lachlan will be competing in some track events in Tasmania to represent Victoria.
Last week in inquiry students presented their report on their living things they created a couple of weeks ago. Students worked really hard on writing about their animal and the characteristics that make it a living thing. They then practised reading their writing with a partner before speaking in front of the whole class. I was very impressed with the way they all spoke clearly and confidently!
Below are some photos of the students presenting their work.
We had the long awaited fun run this afternoon. Thank you to all the parents who came to help out and support the students complete laps. It was a very exciting afternoon and we loved having you there to spur the kids on! The blue forms have been sent home with the number of laps each student completed. Please return these as soon as possible 🙂
Take a look at a quick video highlighting the run
