Our Excursion to the Royal Bontaic Gardens.

Last Wednesday we went on an excursion to the Royal Botanic Gardens. We went on a tour of the gardens and learnt lots of interesting facts. We also explored the Children’s Garden and we were lucky enough to be able to plant our own plants and make a special potpourri bag. We also had some free time to explore the Children’s Garden and get in touch with nature!

A few of us fell asleep on the bus ride home, including Miss Coulsell.

A BIG thank you to our parent helpers, for helping to make the day run smoothly and another big thank you to the parents who turned up for our picnic in the gardens. It was a really lovely excursion and it was wonderful to share our excitement with you.

  1. Hi Miss Coulsell and Prep A,

What a great day at the Royal Botanic Gardens. The children had so much fun and were all very excited.

  2. we heard a story about a big tree, a long time ago there was a thunderstorm, the big tree got split in half.
some mens came to put wires to pull the branches up.
the tree was still standing up after it got split.
i could see the wires holding the branches up.

also we saw a tree called mr grumpy, when we got to touch it, it was prickly
